Diocesan Synod
We are very pleased that we were able to conduct our diocesan Synod, and to do so in such a way that it was efficient and affordable. This resulted in every parish except for one being represented at our Synod! We especially thank All Saints Cathedral for being outstanding hosts and for all of the hospitality that they extended to Synod delegates and guests! The Synod theme was “Built on the Rock” which we will use as an inspiration to build our parishes!
Resolution and Resource Checklist
The Resolution from our recently held Synod and a resource checklist were recently sent to all parishes, and are available from us if you did not receive them. The Resolution is a nice summary of some of the things that took place and a reminder of goals that we are striving for. The checklist may be filled out and returned, or the items can be addressed as part of the pastor’s report or annual parish reports. Parishes are reminded that if you need assistance or guidance, please ask us.
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving this year is November 28. May we take time to Thank God for His many blessings upon our families, our parishes, and our nation!
Ways to Serve
Our parishes do an excellent job in being of service to their communities. This fall, two organizations are sponsoring drives for parishes to participate in, with information attached. The national YMSofR is sponsoring a winter clothing drive to encourage our parishes to collect winter clothing and distribute to local charities or those in need. PNA Councils 306 and 307 are sponsoring a collection of winter clothing and protein bars to help those in the community. The need is great, so both drives are important. Thank you for your support and willingness to help!
Ordo
Orders are being taken for our Church’s 2025 ordo, also known as a liturgical reference calendar. All clergy should have a current ordo in their possession as this is a vital tool in the ministry of the parish. Laity may order as well. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us!
Congratulations!
We extend our congratulations to Rev. Father Greg Gronn who was presented the Prime Bishop Zielinski Adult Scouting award by Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky at our recently held diocesan Synod. This award was a recognition of Fr Greg’s 60 years of service and involvement in Scouting! Father Greg is also chair of our diocesan Scouting commission!

Ordination and Elevation
On October 17, Subdeacon David Talaga of Mosinee, Wisconsin was ordained as a Deacon in our Holy Church. Also, student Jason Fox of West Allis, Wisconsin was tonsured to become a cleric and received the minor orders of porter and reader. Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky conducted this service with numerous clergy of our diocese participating and attending. Deacon David and Cleric Jason worked very hard to get to this point, and we congratulate them on this special occasion. We also thank their instructors for their diligence in preparing and instructing them!
Gratitude!
We take this opportunity to extend our thanks and gratitude to a couple of long serving diocesan chaplains / chairs. First, we thank Very Rev. John Kowalczyk for 24 years of service as chaplain of our diocesan Youth organization. He was appointed as the national youth chaplain 4 years ago, and is using his energy to guide our youth on the national level.
We also thank Very Rev. Jaroslaw Nowak who for more than 10 years was national chair of the Mission and Evangelism commission and also chair of our diocesan Mission and Evangelism commission. Each of these tasks are very demanding, and now he will focus on the very important task of leading mission and outreach efforts on the national level.
Thank you for serving our diocese and national Church so well!
Youth!
Deacon Doug Scott was appointed chaplain of our diocesan youth organization at our recently held Synod, and has begun organizing and making contacts with youth groups around the diocese. A big task will be the upcoming diocesan youth gathering which will be held in July, 2025. Please watch for more information, and encourage the youth of your parish to participate in youth events!
United Women’s Societies
Rev. Father Mariusz Zochowski is the new chaplain for the diocesan United Women’s Societies, and we look forward to his service and leadership! The organization will be in the process of rebuilding, so we are asking all parishes who have existing women’s organizations to provide the following information to Fr Mariusz: Name of your parish; name of the women’s organization; contact person or persons. Please forward this information to Fr Mariusz at his email – mariozoch@gmail.com . Thank You for your cooperation and assistance to rebuild this important organization in women’s ministry!
United Circle Choirs
Music is a very important ministry within our parishes and our Church! Our diocesan United Circle Choirs have knowledge and experience to assist choirs to organize or build on their successes. Advent
The season of Advent is quickly approaching! On December 1 we will begin a new Church year, and look forward to what will lie ahead. The season of Advent is an ideal time for seniorates or parishes to have retreats to help us prepare for the many blessings of this special season.
